LGMC Confirms Negotiations with LSU over UMC

Lafayette General Medical Center has signed a letter of intent with LSU to explore options for Lafayette's University Medical Center. Recent state budget cuts have forced LSU to slash programs and services at UMC. According to LGMC, this agreement allows the parties involved to discuss how to move forward in a possible public/private partnership that is "mutually beneficial for both sides."
