LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - Twenty-three nonprofit organizations that received funding from Lafayette Consolidated Government this year will receive funding again in the 2009-10 fiscal year that begins November 1.
The Lafayette City-Parish Council voted 6 to 3 Tuesday to approve funding for all agencies for a total of $452,723.
The council backtracked on an earlier decision that would have required a separate vote on each agency. Instead, the council voted on all 23 at one time.
