Abbeville Police are scanning classrooms at Abbeville High School after a letter was found declaring a bomb threat.
According to Vermilion Parish School Superintendent Jerome Puyau, students are safe and in the school's gym, which bomb-sniffing dogs had already cleared. Police are going classroom to classroom making sure the school is safe.
Puyau said surveillance video is being reviewed to see who accessed the room where the letter was found. He added that this incident is being taken very serious and every avenue will be taken to protect the students.
