Dozens of Acadiana's top employers and employers from other regions of the state, will be on hand to recruit and screen potential job candidates at the LEDA Job Fair on Wednesday, August 18, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Cajundome Convention Center in Lafayette.
Now in its fifteenth year, the LEDA Job Fair is the largest job recruitment event in Acadiana. Top companies from all sectors of business and industry will be on hand to fill job openings. Since its inception, hundreds of Acadiana's top employers have successfully recruited job candidates at the one-day event.
"The LEDA Job Fair is an excellent opportunity to meet face to face with hiring managers from multiple employers all in one day and one place," says Ryan LaGrange, LEDA's director of workforce development. "We hear hiring success stories every year following the job fair from both job seekers and employers. This event continues to have a tremendous impact on the community, assisting both job seekers and businesses."
Job seekers will be able to visit the E-Application Station, sponsored by the Louisiana Workforce Commission- Business and Career Solutions Center, to search and apply for thousands of additional jobs in the region and throughout the state. Career Consultant Danielle Dayries will offer three seminars for job seekers: 10 a.m.- How to Ace an Interview; 11 a.m.- Following up after the Job Fair; and 1 p.m.- Résumé Writing.
The LEDA Job Fair is free to job seekers and there is no need to pre-register. Job seekers should dress professionally and bring copies of their résumés.
Participating companies include: AFLAC, Bruce Foods, C&C Technologies, Citadel Broadcasting, Iberia Bank, KATC, LGMC, Midsouth Bank, Opelousas General Health System and Stuller Inc. Click here for a complete list of employers.
