Laura LeBeouf to run for District C seat on Vermilion Parish School Board

Laura Hebert LeBeouf, a 26-year educator, is announcing her candidacy for Vermilion Parish School Board District C.

LeBeouf says that her educational experience includes 15 years as an Abbeville High teacher for 15 years and a coach for 14 years. Her 11-years of administrative experience includes two years as an assistant principal at Erath Middle School, two years as an assistant principal at North Vermilion High School, and seven years as principal at Kaplan High School.

While a principal, Laura LeBeouf served as a mentor in Region IV for assistant principals and principals in the LELI Induction program. She was named Vermilion Parish Principal of the Year in 2012, Regional Principal of the Year in 2012, and was one of the top five top finalist as Louisiana High School Principal-of-the year in 2012.

LeBeouf said she obtained a bachelor's and masters from USL. While at USL, LeBeouf was very active and served as senator for SGA where she explains that she represented student view points, both for the freshman college and the college of the Arts of Humanities. She also was a member of Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society and served as State Secretary, Sigma Gamma Mu - the Communication Honor Society, UPC Homecoming Committee, Public Relations Society, Kappa Delta Sorority. LeBeouf says she also interned at The Vermilion newspaper and was active in intramurals. She was named to the Most Outstanding College Students in America.
