OPELOUSAS, La. (AP) Larry John Snyder is free after posting a $250,000 bond in Pointe Coupee Parish and a $100,000 bond in St. Landry Parish.
Snyder is accused in the death of his longtime girlfriend, Davina Chapman, in Pointe Coupee Parish after allegedly kidnapping her July 18 from a Krotz Springs bar. Chapman's body was found later under the Three-Mile Bridge east of Krotz Springs.
Snyder has pleaded not guilty on the Pointe Coupee Parish charge of second-degree murder and the St. Landry Parish charge of kidnapping.
After posting bond in Pointe Coupee and St. Landry parishes, he was released. Snyder is required by both jurisdictions to wear an electronic monitoring device.
