OPELOUSAS, La. (AP) State Judge Alonzo Harris has reduced Larry John Snyder's bond from $250,000 to $100,000 on a kidnapping charge.

Authorities say Snyder kidnapped his longtime girlfriend, Davina Chapman, on July 18 from a Krotz Springs bar. Chapman's body was found the next day in neighboring Pointe Coupee Parish.

Snyder faces a second-degree murder charge in Pointe Coupee Parish, where his bond had previously been reduced from $1 million to $250,000.

Synder was originally scheduled to be arraigned at the Thursday hearing in Opelousas, but the arraignment was postponed.

Synder has pleaded not guilty to the murder charge.

He remains in the Pointe Coupee Parish jail.
