OPELOUSAS, La. (AP) A man free on bond in the July 2009 death of his girlfriend has been arrested following a hit-and-run crash in Ascension Parish.
The Daily World reports Larry John Snyder Jr., who faces a second-degree murder charge in the death of Davina Chapman in Pointe Coupee Parish, was arrested Sunday by Gonzales police.
Chief Deputy Tony Bacala of the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office said Snyder was booked with hit and run, driving while intoxicated, possession of alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle and improper lane use.
Bacala said Snyder allegedly rear-ended the unmarked sheriff's office vehicle Sunday night.
Authorities say Snyder allegedly kidnapping Chapman from a Krotz Springs bar on July 18, 2009. Her body was found the next day under a bridge east of Krotz Springs.
