NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A LaPlace woman has pleaded guilty to unlawfully receiving Social Security disability benefits.
U.S. Attorney Jim Letten says 51-year-old Donna Marie Duhe entered the plea Wednesday before U.S. District Judge Kurt D. Engelhardt.
Letten, in a news release, says Duhe admitted receiving benefits in June 2007, and that at the time she had already obtained a job. He says Duhe did not report her employment to the Social Security Administration and as a result received a total of $26,454 that she was not entitled to.
Duhe faces up to 10 years in prison. A sentencing date has not been set.
