LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - A 25-year-old Lake Charles man will spend the rest of his life in prison for committing second-degree murder.
State District Judge Mike Canaday sentenced Jason Lawrence Walton on Monday in the shooting death of 18-year-old Dustin Tutson.
Walton was convicted Nov. 11 by 12 jurors who deliberated for two hours.
Prosecutors say Tutson was shot while riding in a pickup truck with two others on May 17, 2008.
