Lake Charles man arrested in July slaying

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Authorities say a 38-year-old Lake Charles man has been booked in the July death of his ex-wife.
Billy Ray Harris was already in jail on drug charges.
Harris was booked Tuesday with second-degree murder in the death of 38-year-old Raymona L. Gilmore.
Kim Myers, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman, says Gilmore was found in her trailer at Quailridge Mobile Estate Park.
Myers says Gilmore was found unresponsive in her home on July 29.
State District Judge Wilford Carter set Harris' bond at $500,000. His bond on the drug charges totaled $50,000.
It was unclear whether Harris has an attorney.
