Lake Charles man accused of Crowley burglaries

A 31-year-old Lake Charles man is accused of a rash of commercial burglaries that happened over the weekend in the downtown area of Crowley.

The first incident occurred during the early morning hours on Friday (5/10/13), said Gibson. The business of Teachers Pet was broken into through a rear door.

The second incident occurred on Saturday morning (5/11/12) when the same business was broken into, according to Gibson.

Gibson stated the final incident occurred on Sunday morning (5/12/13) where a local attorney's office was broken into.

During the Sunday morning burglary, the owner observed that a window had been broken and contacted police. Gibson said during a search of the business, it was discovered that the suspect was inside of the building. Officers took the suspect into custody without incident.

According to Chief Gibson, officers were able to confirm that all three burglaries were conducted by the same suspect.

David McNab was arrested and booked on one count of aggravated burglary and 2 counts of simple burglary of a business. Gibson added that the aggravated burglary stems from McNab stealing a firearm from one of the businesses.

"The officers involved in this case did an outstanding job in taking this suspect into custody without injury. We encourage our citizenry to stay involved by calling in any suspicious activity that they see" stated Chief Gibson.
