A 54-year-old Lake Charles man is accused of 4th DWI.
According to CPSO Spokesperson Kim Myers, Sunday night, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputies conducted a traffic stop on a car near the intersection of Patton Street and Beglis Parkway in Sulphur for a traffic violation. David M. Self allegedly performed poorly on a standard field sobriety test. Self, who has three prior DWI arrests, refused to submit a breath intoxilyzer test, stated Myers.
Self was arrested and charged with DWI 4th; possession of alcoholic beverage in motor vehicle; possession of a controlled dangerous substance schedule III; and a traffic citation.
Self was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. Bond was set at $40,350.
