NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Two Louisiana health clinics have been awarded nearly $9 million in federal grant money.
The grants announced Monday award $4.1 million to the SWLA Center for Health Services in Lake Charles and $4.8 million to the Teche Action Clinic in Franklin.
Landrieu says the funding awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is projected to create more than 200 new jobs and expand the clinics' capacity by more than 13,000 patients.
