You might not be aware but there's an intense competition going on in Lafayette between small businesses hoping to win a big prize.
Dozens applied to take part in a competition hosted by The Louisiana Small Business Development Center. Today, only four remain left in the running: SYNC Productions, Full Attention to Detail, Hub City Cycles and Creole Construction Cleaning Company, these are the four that have made the final cut.
They are being judged on their business plan, their ability to run their company and whether or not they can create jobs in the community. Some of the prizes include: a $5,000 advertising package from Townsquare Media, Website and logo design from firefly digital, a $3,000 ad schedule, a laptop and phone package from Cox Media. Also free office space for up to 12 months.
"From Acadiana's prospective we're looking to create more jobs and create a good sustainable business in the area that can really have a positive impact in a lot of different ways," said Corey Chapman Business Consultant for LSBDC.
All the businesses will be presenting their plans for the judges this afternoon. As far as the winner, look forward to seeing their business in Lafayette.
