Lafayette's Vinsant to Compete Tomorrow in Trampoline Event

A Lafayette resident will try to take home an Olympic gold medal tomorrow. Savannah Vinsant, the reigning United States Trampoline Champion, will take part in the women's trampoline competition. Vinsant, a Newton, Texas, native who trains in the Hub City, will go last in the preliminary round. The top eight finishers will then advance to the finals. The competition will begin at 8:00 A. M. Central Daylight Time. Only the finals will be televised. They can be seen tomorrow morning on NBC at 10:00 A. M. CDT.
