Authorities have now identified the substance as oil leaking from a tanker. Crews are cleaning it up, there's no need for evacuations.

Several lanes are being shut down at the intersection of Pinhook and Bendel. Bendel will be shut down completely while police clean up a spill of some sort. Police tell us there is a slick substance in the roadway and an accident at the same intersection. It's unclear at this point whether the substance on the road caused the accident.
