Long-time friends--Karson Kirk and Jaqueline Lund--share a love of British history.
Lund said, "I actually have three family members that came here on the Mayflower from Suffix, England."
Kirk added, "I've been following William and Kate all these years and, of course, I watched Diana's wedding in 1981."
They've both been to England before, but they say making the trip for the royal wedding is the chance of a lifetime.
Kirk said, "I called my friend Jackie and said, how many air miles do you have? She said about 300 thousand, so I said you want to go to England?"
"I hadn't planned on it until it came up," Lund explained. "I thought maybe we'd be eating cucumber sandwiches and watching it on TV like all the other royal events."
They plan on doing some sight seeing outside of the city, but will definitely be back to London for Friday's events.
"We might go to Hyde Park," Kirk said. "They're going to have televisions set up or maybe we'll join in on a street fair."
Lund said, "Just being there with all the other people. The excitement and the hope for this young couple."
After the 10 hour flight from Houston, they are scheduled to arrive in London Tuesday morning.
