Lafayette Police Seek Suspect for Multiple Incidents

 

Suspects Identity Sought in Multiple Incidents

On August 16, 2010, at approximately 9:00 pm, a residence was burglarized in the 200 block of Madison Street.  During the burglary the victim's vehicle was stolen from the residence.  The incident was reported to the Lafayette Police Department.

 

On August 18, 2010, at approximately 1:00 am, three black males occupying the vehicle believed to have been stolen from the 200 block of Madison Street approached a male victim riding a bike in the 300 block of St. Antoine Street.  The suspects robbed the victim at gunpoint and made off with a small amount of cash.   Approximately 10 minutes later it was reported to the Lafayette Police Department that the same suspects approached two victims in the rear of a motel in the 2200 block of the NE Evangeline Thruway and robbed the victims at gunpoint.  The vehicle was recovered 1 hour later after officers pursued the vehicle on Carmel Drive and abandoned it on the side of the highway.  The three suspects fled the vehicle on foot and were not located.  

 

The first suspect is described as a black male in his 20's, 5''11" tall, approximately 140 pound with short hair.  The second suspect is a black male in his 20's, 5'5" tall, approximately 250 pounds and wearing a white stripe polo shirt.  The victims were unable to provide a description of the third suspect.  

 

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incidents or the identity of the suspect in the photo to contact the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
