Just after three Tuesday afternoon an anonymous caller told Lafayette Police there was a body in the 600 block of North Buchanan Street. When police arrived, they found the decomposed body of a man near the train tracks.

Investigators spent a couple hours searching the area for clues but found very little. Because of the condition of the body police could not determine how the man died. At this point police are calling the death suspicious.

The body was taken to the corner's office. Autopsy results are expected Wednesday.
