Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office Bomb Threat

On Thursday January 7, 2010 at approximately 3:20pm the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office received a call through 911 stating there was a bomb in the Lafayette Parish Courthouse. Sheriff's deputies had the courthouse evacuated and searched for any type of explosives.

An investigation began and evidence led detectives to 21 year old Corey Fuselier of Lafayette who was scheduled for drug court that day. As the investigation continued detectives discovered that Corey Fuselier had called in two previous bomb threats on November 9, 2009 and December 3, 2009 both dates he was also scheduled for drug court.

Fuselier has been arrested and charged with 3 counts of Communicating of false Information of a planned Arson (Calling in a bomb threat) and his bond has been set at $100,000.
