Lafayette Parish School System Social Worker Arrested

LAFAYETTE, LA. (AP) - Drug agents have arrested a social workerwith
the Lafayette Parish school system after they discovered illegal
drugs in her apartment.
Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force Capt. John Babin tells The
Advocate that 40-year-old Leah Arceneaux was arrested Thursday.
Babin says Arceneaux was booked with possession with intent to
distribute Lortab; possession with intent to distribute marijuana;
possession of a controlled dangerous substance; possession of a
controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile and
possession of drug paraphernalia.
School officials say Arceneaux was not assigned to a particular
school site.
Arceneaux remains jailed at the Lafayette Parish Correctional
Center on a $45,500 bond.
It was not immediately known whether Arceneaux has an attorney.
