Lafayette Parish OWI check point results

Lafayette police dept. conducted an OWI check point located in the 3900 block of West Congress Street. During the course of the operation 629 vehicles passed through the checkpoint, and of thoes vehicles 14 drivers were stopped for secondary testing. There was a total of 5 drivers arrested and charged with OWI. These individuals were:
1. Hardesty, Robert J. (55) Driving Under Suspension Revocation, OWI
2. Gary, Ross E. (23) OWI
3. Rideau, Kerry R. (20) OWI
4. Stinson, Clint R. (25) OWI, Possession of Narcotics
5. Reynolds, Christopher C. (37) OWI
In addition to the above arrests, 4 citations were issued for various violations, and 3 additional arrests for drug violations.
1. Bernard, Phillip J. (21), Cultivation of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
2. Scoggin, Sebastain L. (21) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
3. Thibeaux, Ronald, (28) Driving Under Suspension Revocation, Possession of Narcotics, Resisting Arrest
