Lafayette Officer on Leave During Investigation

A Lafayette Police officer is on paid administrative leave, while an investigation gets underway into allegations of procedure and policy violations. The details of the allegations were not made available to the media.
Cpl. Oren Haydel worked in the Crime Scene Investigations division. According to a complaint, his work may be inaccurate. The evidence will be looked at once again before being used in trial.
The investigation is ongoing.
