Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force Drug Bust

On 1/14/10 the Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force received information that a local shipping company had received a package which possibly contained illegal narcotics. Metro Agents took possession of this package and it was discovered that it contained approximately 2 pounds of High grade marijuana. It was also discovered that the package was to be delivered to a local address.

The package was taken by Metro Agents and delivered to 102 Van Buren Apt. 251 where a subject identified as Kelly Etienne took possession of the package. Metro Agents then obtained a search warrant for the apartment were an additional three (3) pounds of marijuana were found hidden in the apartment. The marijuana had a total street value of $38,421.00

Kelly Etienne was arrested and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center where she was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.
