Lafayette Man Pleads Guilty In Bank Robbery Case

ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - A day into jury selection, a Lafayette
man has pleaded guilty to three counts of armed robbery in
connection with three 2008 bank robberies in Rapides Parish.
Charles Bryant Anderson was sentenced Wednesday to 35 years
without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension of his
sentence by state Judge John Davidson.

The Alexandria Daily Town Talk reports Anderson was arrested in
September after a manhunt for four suspects who authorities say
were involved in the robberies of three banks at gunpoint.
Wilson Deron Stevens pleaded guilty to two counts of armed
robbery and was sentenced to 13 years in prison.
The other two suspects in the case have yet to go to trial.
