Lafayette Man Dies in 1 Vehicle Crash

CARENCRO, La. (AP) - State police say a 49-year-old Lafayette
man died in a traffic accident on La. Highway 1252 near Carencro.
Troopers said that Joseph F. Benoit was
pronounced dead at the scene Tuesday night.
Investigators say a Jeep ran off the road, struck a tree and
overturned several times.
The Jeep's driver, 63-year-old Joyce Valentine, was taken to a
nearby hospital with moderate injuries.
