Lafayette man accused of harboring runaway, possession of child porn

Lafayette Parish sheriff's deputies have arrested and charged 52-year-old Thomas Dessoye of Lafayette with one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and 101 counts of possessing child pornography, according to Captain Kip Judice.

Investigators have established that Dessoye did aid a juvenile runaway from the State of Minnesota by transporting the child to Lafayette and harboring the child until deputies were able to locate and return the runaway home, said Judice.

Additionally, Investigators discovered over 100 images of persons under the age of 16 years in provocative poses in a storage device. The Louisiana State Police Computer Forensics Unit is examining the device to determine the origin of the images and attempt to identify the victims, stated Judice.

Bond was set at $100,000.00 for the contributing charge and $50,000.00 on the first count of possessing child pornography however, Thomas Dessoye is being held without on the remaining charges pending a bail hearing next week.
