LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - A grand jury has declined to indict a
37-year-old Lafayette man accused in the Valentine's Day stabbing
death of a man in a Scott nightclub.
The grand jury returned a no true bill Wednesday on Christopher
James Marmottin, who faced one count of manslaughter in Nathan
Lejeune's death.
Scott Police said Marmottin stabbed Lejune twice in the chest
with a pocket knife during a fight at Cowboys nightclub.
Thomas Guilbeau, Marmottin's attorney, tells The Advocate that
the grand jury found that his client was acting in self-defense.
