The Lafayette location of Transcom announces 700 new jobs that will be created before the end of 2009. The company issued the following press release on October 5.
Lafayette, LA-Managers at the Lafayette location of Transcom have announced plans to add 700 employees at their call center before the end of the year to support the expansion of their main customer base. To facilitate this workforce expansion, a job fair will be held on Tuesday, October 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Holiday Inn Lafayette, 2032 NE Evangeline Thruway.
"It is great that Transcom's client is growing in this large of a capacity," says JR Flynn, Business Manager for Transcom's Lafayette facility. "We are excited to see that growth turn in to huge a boost for our local economy by creating so many job opportunities."

At the event, job seekers will have a chance to learn more about Transcom as well as speak to company representatives and complete applications for employment. The company will be filling full-time and part-time positions with shift flexibility. Opportunities for rapid career advancement are also available.
