The Lafayette Lemonade Tasting Contest is set to take place on Friday, April 26 from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the South Branch Library, 6101 Johnson Street in Lafayette . Registrants will have an opportunity to get a leg-up on the Lemonade Day competition by perfecting their lemonade recipe in advance of Lemonade Day Louisiana on Saturday, May 4, 2013. Sponsors of the tasting contest include Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers and the Lafayette Public Library.
The tasting contest is free and open to kids of all ages. Celebrity judges will be on hand to taste and determine the best lemonade in Lafayette. Participants will receive great prizes including Raising Cane's gift cards and much more.

Lemonade Day Louisiana is a free, community-wide program dedicated to teaching children how to start, own and operate their own business through the simple and time-honored act of building and running a lemonade stand. Young entrepreneurs are provided with free, detailed support materials to help them establish their lemonade stand on Lemonade Day, Saturday, May 4. Lemonade Day began in Louisiana in 2011 and the program reached nearly 10,000 Louisiana youth last year.
