A Lafayette man was confronted by a Lafayette Police K-9 officer after he was trying to leave a business he allegedly broke into around 2:40 Wednesday morning. When officers responded to Simcoe Supermarket at 821 W. Simcoe, they said Raymond Zeno, 43, was inside the store placing items in a large bag. "The suspect was attempting to exit the business when he was confronted by a LPD K-9 officer. Suspect attempted to retreat back into the building, but was apprehended by officers and placed under arrest," Cpl. Paul Mouton said. He was treated after the dog attack at University Medical Center. Zeno is charged with Simple Burglary of a Business and Resisting an Officer.
