The Lafayette Housing Authority hearing wraps up in Judge Edward Rubin's courtroom today after just a few minutes. During the 10:30 a.m. hearing, both sides submitted evidence.

Lafayette City-Parish President Joey Durel was not present. City-Parish Attorney Pat Ottinger was there in his place. Durel had been ordered to appear in court today to face contempt of court charges for appointing a new Lafayette Housing Authority board before Rubin heard legal arguments.

The former members on the board claim they are still active in their positions after receiving a separate ruling earlier this month.

The judge made no rulings today.
