Lafayette High is feeling the pinch as teachers take the day to attend a legislative rally in Baton Rouge.
According to Lafayette Parish Schools spokesperson Angela Morrison, there are 64 teachers taking personal days across the district today, 37 of them at Lafayette High.
Morrison said the district is checking to verify which teachers are at the rally and which are taking days off for other reasons.
KATC TV-3 reporter Akeam Ashford are on the scene to speak with Superintendent Pat Cooper at the school. We will update this story as it develops.
