Lafayette Fire Department Responds to Congress House Fire

The Lafayette Fire Department responded to a house fire at 1106 W. Congress; the call apparently came in around 11:45am today.
At this time KATC has learned that the driver of a pick-up was backing out of the drive way and inadvertently clipped a gas meter.
Lafayette Fire personal gained control of the fire, however, the gas line remains broken. Cedar Crest Court and University have been blocked off until the gas line is properly capped and authorities give the all-clear.
