A family in Lafayette is searching for answers after their loved one's body was found on a road in Scott.
This summer, on July fifth, a police officer found 24-year-old Craig Dural's body on Willow Street. Scott Police have ruled the death a homicide, and say Dural died from a gun shot wound.
Last week, Dural's family put up a billboard of Dural with the question, "Do you know who killed me?" The billboard is by the intersection of Ambassador Caffery and Willow Street.
"I think about him a lot; I just wish it was a dream," Dural's fiance, Dominique Alexander, said. They were supposed to get married next year, and wedding preparations were already underway. Together they have two children, and for Alexander, being both mom and dad has not been easy.
"Very hard. I'm just waiting for someone to come, at least call 232-TIPS, Scott Police and give us some type of answer," Alexander said.
In addition to the eight hundred dollar billboard, made possible by donations, Dural's family has been putting up fliers in hopes of finding answers.
"We're hurting. It's nothing like losing a loved one. Especially a close, dear loved one that was so young," says Alzina Dural, the victim's aunt.
Scott Police says the investigation is on-going, and there's a car that's a "vehicle of interest".
"Most crimes don't go untold," Scott Chief of Police Chad Leger said. "You know somebody had told someone, and we're just asking for that someone to please come forward," he said.
"I'm not mad at nobody cause I don't know what went on. I just would love for it to come to a closure," Alexander said.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Scott Police or Crimestoppers at 232-TIPS.
