Lafayette: Deadly Shooting

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that happened yesterday evening causing the death of a local man.
43-year-old Ray Ryan of Lafayette was found upon deputies' arrival in the 200 block of Marigny Circle at about 9:30 last night following a report of gunshots. Ryan was lifeless and later pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies are following leads in the case but no motive has been established at this time. Deputies are asking for the public's assistance. Those who were in the area at the time of the incident, who heard or saw anything, or anyone with knowledge that may be helpful are encouraged to share this information by contacting the Lafayette Crime Stoppers TIPS Line at 232-8477 (TIPS).
