Lafayette City-Parish Council Extends Deadline for Submission of Resumes

With regard to the Lafayette Charter Commission created by Ordinance No. O-074-2010, due to the insufficient number of resumes received from individuals of the minority race who reside outside of any municipality in the Parish of Lafayette, the Lafayette City-Parish Council has extended the deadline for the submission of resumes as to persons meeting those qualifications and thus, such individuals wishing to submit a resume for the Lafayette Charter Commission created by Ordinance No. O-074-2010 must do so by noon, Tuesday, June 1, 2010.
No elected official shall serve as a member of the Commission, nor shall any employee of the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government or any person who, at the time of appointment, has a contractual relationship with the Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government.
Act 472 of the 2008 Louisiana Legislative Session, now codified as La. R.S. 42:1124.2.1 requires financial disclosure under certain circumstances. Resumes, with verification of domicile, are to be forwarded to Norma A. Dugas, Clerk of the Council, P.O. Box 4017-C, Lafayette, La 70502 no later than noon, Tuesday, June 1, 2010 with Council appointments to be made following the interview process.
