Lafayette City Marshals Arrest Joseph Mickens Sandifer

Lafayette City Marshal deputies arrested one JOSEPH MICKENS SANDIFER in the 900 block of East St. Mary Blvd on a BENCH WARRANT from the 15th Judicial District Court in Lafayette. The warrant was ordered on November 30, 2009 when SANDIFER failed to appear for trial on 3rd Offense OWI. In addition to the OWI charge he was also wanted for FAILURE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL CAUSING AN ACCIDENT and DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION.

When SANDIFER was stopped by deputies, he was OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITH AN EXPIRED INSPECTION STICKER and DRIVING UNDER SUSPENSION. Deputies cited SANDIFER with the new violations.

SANDIFER was arrested for OWI in Lafayette in June 2001 and December 3, 2008.

SANDIFER was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center without bond.
