Lafayette Church Vandalized

Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and School on Surrey Street in Lafayette was vandalized overnight. Police say numerous derogatory words were painted on the buildings and sidewalks (left) in the complex and a threatening note was also found. Church personnel believe the vandalism happened between 6:30 pm on Friday and 6:30 am Saturday. Anyone with information on this crime should contact the Lafayette Police Department or CrimeStoppers at 232-TIPS. We'll have more on this story on KATC at 6:00.
