Lafayette Central Park kicks off fundraising campaign at Horse Farm

Party in the Park will take place Sunday, May 18th, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., to celebrate the unveiling of the park's Master Plan - the community's first chance to see what this world-class park will look like - plus music, food, arts and crafts, and family-fun activities. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate - plus, VIP tickets available. Proceeds from ticket sales will help support the community's long-time dream of building a world-class park at the Horse Farm.

The gates for "Party in the Park" will open at 9:30 a.m. and musical acts will begin at 10:30 a.m., featuring Roddie Romero & Hub City All-Stars with special guest Marc Broussard as well as Jaryd Lane, Chubby Carrier & The Bayou Swamp Band, Brass Mimosa, Nathan Sam Band, and Soul Express "Second Line."

There will be a variety of food and drink stations, food trucks, arts and crafts booths, face painting, fun jumps, games and more. Patrons can pay to park on-site, take advantage of free parking at Cajun Field with a shuttle service to the Horse Farm or ride their bikes, with a Bike Corral set up by Bike Lafayette.

"Party in the Park" tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com, at the Cajundome Box Office or by calling 1-800-745-3000. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $250 and will include special perks such as VIP Parking, VIP Viewing Tent of the stage, catered food and beverages, free festival merchandise, and more.
