Lafayette Business Woman Arrested on Felony Theft

A Lafayette businesswoman was booked into jail after police say she "failed to provide services". The owner of A Little Something Extra/Lagniappe (an advertisement business) is 57- year old Melissa M. Arnaud of Lafayette. In August of 2010, police received eight complaints from businesses wishing to pursue charges because they hired Arnaud to create advertisements that weren't done. Arnaud was charged with 7 counts of Felony Theft and 1 count of Misdemeanor Theft.
Detectives are asking any business owner who may have had dealings with Arnaud and did not receive services to contact the Lafayette Police Department at 291-8600.
