La. woman gets prison for defrauding car dealer

A woman who worked as the office manager for an Alexandria car dealership has been sentenced to four months in prison for defrauding her employer.
U.S. District Judge Dee Drell also on Monday ordered 43-year-old Dianne Handy, of Alexandria, to pay more than $100,000 in restitution and perform 100 hours of community service.
Handy was the office manager for Leglue Nissan. She pleaded guilty in January to bank fraud.
Federal prosecutors say Handy arranged for the dealership to issue tens of thousands of dollars in unauthorized refunds to her personal credit cards more than 70 times between July 2009 and July 2011.
