BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan
says Louisiana will get $147 million in federal funds to aid
teachers and other educators.
Duncan said Monday that the funds stem from a $26 billion
federal bill that backers called a state stimulus measure.
The legislation includes a $10 billion education fund to support
jobs in the current school year.
