La. to unveil bicentennial events

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - State officials plan to unveil details of events connected to Louisiana's bicentennial celebration on Monday at the Capitol Museum Park.
Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne, retired Army Lt. General Russell Honoré and members of the Louisiana Bicentennial Commission will be on hand for a press conference planned for 2 p.m.
Louisiana became a state on April 30, 1812.
