VIDALIA, La. (AP) - The LSU AgCenter and Mississippi State University Extension Service will hold a workshop in Vidalia for landowners interested in starting or expanding an outdoor recreational business.
Topics include revenue potential from different businesses, business plan development and legal considerations.
Dora Hatch, the AgCenter's agritourism coordinator. says land management specialists, attorneys and bankers will explain how to draft a business plan outline.
The workshop is June 6 at the Vidalia Conference and Convention Center. It costs $20 per person or $30 for a couple. Lunch is included. The money is due by June 1.
The Walton Family Foundation and nine state agencies and university departments in Louisiana and Mississippi are sponsoring the program.
