NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Four Louisiana cities are getting a total of $575,000 to help house homeless veterans.

A news release Wednesday from U.S. Senator Mary L. Landrieu and Rep. Cedric Richmond said the money is going to housing authorities in East Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Lafayette, and to Bossier Parish.

East Baton Rouge is getting $198,817; New Orleans $180,830; Bossier Parish $100,187 and Lafayette $94,818.

It's under a Department of Housing and Urban Development program for public housing agencies that agree to partner with eligible Veterans Administration medical facilities.
