KROTZ SPRINGS, La. (AP) - The Krotz Springs Police Department is expected to be back up to full strength this week.
Police Chief Norman Mouille said Monday he has a list of four new officers and five dispatchers that he will be
putting before the town council for its approval at Tuesday night's
meeting.
The town's entire police force resigned soon after Mouille took the oath of officer earlier this month, forcing him to patrol the streets alone with some help from the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's
Office.
Mouille said all the proposed officers are either from Krotz Springs or the immediate area, which is important for a local
olice force such as his.
