Kristen Holloway is a native of Atlanta, GA. After graduating from Chamblee Charter High School in 2007, Kristen attended Florida A&M University where she continued her love for journalism.
During her junior year college, she was a correspondent for the FAMUAN, the school newspaper, and she also anchored and produced for WANM 90.5, the local radio station. During her senior year in college, she was a weekly reporter and the sports anchor for FAMU News 20 at 5, a weekly live broadcast.
She also interned at CBS News in New York in the Broadcast Marketing Department summer 2011. "That internship was amazing and the best experience of my life. It was very hands on and I gained a lot of knowledge."
One of Kristen's biggest accomplishments is a 15 minute documentary on homeless military vets, she co-produced and wrote, "Burden of the Banner: The Unforeseen Truth" winning a Florida Associated Press Award on April 27, 2013 for long hard-news feature.
Kristen did gymnastics for 9 years and won a gold medal in the Junior Olympics in 2005 on the floor exercise. She also cheered in college for three years, was a New Student Orientation Leader and is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Kristen loves being active and is obsessed with sports. In her freetime, she loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.
Kristen is glad to called Acadiana her home away from home.
