The weekend brought a return of a Mardi Gras tradition in Marksville.
The Town Talk reports that the Krewe of Cyllenius parade that took place Sunday was the first Mardi Gras parade in Marksville in several years.
It was a small affair: the parade included a few floats and flatbed trailers. A local casino helped out with riders tossing beads and goody bags.
But, despite the small size of the parade, cars and trucks lined the streets of town and parade-goers tail-gated with ice chests and barbecue grills.
